Sackler Building

After an extensive 18-month renovation, the Arthur M. Sackler Building reopened in January 2019. The building, which originally opened in 1985 as the Arthur M. Sackler Museum, was designed by British architect James Stirling. The renovation included the preservation and restoration of important interior elements as well as the creation of faculty and staff offices, design studios, classrooms, art-making spaces, and a lecture hall for the Department of History of Art + Architecture, the Graduate School of Design, and the Art Lab Annex.

Additional information about the renovation and architectural renderings can be found on the Harvard Capital Projects website.
