Emerson Hall

After undergoing a six-month renovation, classrooms 101 and 108 in Emerson Hall have reopened. The renovations converted the spaces from a traditional fixed-seat lecture hall format into a more flexible classroom environment with movable tables and chairs.

Harvard Hall

After a 7-month long exterior restoration and interior renovation project, Harvard Hall reopened for classes in January 2020. The newly renovated spaces include a lecture hall, two (2) traditional seminar rooms, two (2) 24-seat flexible classrooms, an additional 60-seat flexible classroom (a mirror of the popular Harvard Hall 202), and an open and welcoming lobby.

Sackler Building

After an extensive building renovation project, the Sackler Building has reopened for classes. The five (5) new/renovated spaces include a spacious lecture hall, two (2) traditional seminar rooms, two (2) flexible classrooms, and an art-making classroom.

Robinson Hall (222 & 223)

After a six-month renovation, Robinson Hall has reopened to classes. Part of the renovation included the redesign of the second-floor meeting rooms. The four (4) cramped, outdated spaces have been converted into two (2) spacious, accessible seminar rooms (Robinson 222 and Robinson 223).

Science Center (Halls C & D)

During the summer of 2018, Science Center Lecture Hall C & Lecture Hall D were taken offline for a major upgrade to the HVAC system. We used this opportunity to renovate and restore some of the interior elements of the Josep Lluís Sert designed spaces.

Vanserg Building

During the summer of 2017, the second-floor classrooms in the Vanserg Building were completely transformed from small, cramped seminar and lecture rooms to larger, flexible classrooms. Additional information about the renovated spaces can be found on the Vanserg Building page.

Cabot Science Library

The Cabot Science Library, located in the Science Center, reopened on April 10, 2017, after a long substantial renovation. The new Cabot has been transformed into an open, welcoming, and vibrant space for all Harvard students, faculty, and staff.

Harvard Hall 202

During the summer of 2016, Harvard Hall 202 was changed from a flat-floor fixed-seat classroom into a flexible teaching space for faculty who want to teach beyond the traditional lecture hall.

Museum of Comparative Zoology 101

MCZ 101 is a flexible classroom in the Harvard Museum Complex.

Northwest Building B100

Originally utilized exclusively as an event and lounge space, Northwest Building B100 has been converted into a 150-seat flexible classroom.

Robinson Hall (105, 106, & 107)

During the summer of 2015, two (2) dated and worn classrooms on the first floor of Robinson Hall were changed into three (3) new spaces including two (2)technology-rich flexible classrooms (Robinson 105 & Robinson 107) and a traditional seminar room (Robinson 106).

Science Center B10

Science Center B10 has been redesigned to include moveable, lightweight furniture and writing surfaces on every wall.
